This position is being filled under the Direct Hire Authority for Recent Graduates. HIS POSITION IS BEING FILLED AT THE GS-07, Target GS-11 LEVEL ONLY.

Duties

Assist senior level engineers with environmental programs and projects, including work for the Formerly Utilized Sites Remedial Action Program (FUSRAP), Defense Environmental Restoration Program, USEPA Superfund, and other HTRW projects. Determine the environmental needs for feasibility studies, investigations, sampling and testing activities, and design requirements. Contribute to the preparation of plans and specifications for project construction. Prepare scopes of work, cost estimates, and other necessary contracting documents to obtain professional services to accomplish project work. Review applicable codes, standards, and other available environmental compliance criteria to determine specific environmental needs of projects.
