This position is located in the Department of Information Technology, Office of Facilities and Infrastructure Management at Kings Point, New York. The Director of Information Technology is principal advisor to Senior Leadership; all activities related to information technology, instructional systems, administrative and academic computer operations; is the Academy's liaison with the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), Maritime Administration (MARAD).

Qualifications
To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience qualifications for the grade at which you are requesting consideration.To qualify for the Grade 14, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-13, it must include:
Experience in planning, developing, implementation and oversight of IT policies and procedures.
Experience in developing proper contract requirements and ensuring during contract administration the contractors meet the commitments of their contracts; including the timeliness and delivery of quality goods and services as required by the contract.
Experience serving as a subject matter expert on IT program management or as a consultant or coordinator in the management of IT programs and projects.
Experience acting as a liaison; establishing contacts and interacting with entities within an organization to accomplish IT program goals.
Experience in communicating, both verbally and in writing to all levels of service, Departments, and others outside the Department on matters relating to design, development, modifications and implementation of information technology.
