The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the senior logistic management specialist for the 480th Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance Wing (480 ISRW) Logistic, Engineering, Resource Integration Directorate. 16 Air Force (16 AF), 480th Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Wing (480 ISRW), Network Operations (SCOO), Joint Base Langley-Eustis, VA.

Duties

Serves as the Wing's functional lead for Supply management and operations functions. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities for 3 military members. Utilizes automated logistics and maintenance analysis system(s) and computer-generated and software products in accomplishing supply chain management assignments. Performs special and recurring projects and assignments.

  • All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.
  • Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information.
  • Involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.

  • This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.

Qualifications

This is a GG-13 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-13 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-13 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: Extensive knowledge of and skill in applying the full range of logistics management principles, concepts, policies, and laws; logistics functions, programs, and systems applicable to the duties of position; sources, responsibilities, and means for providing assistance and advice to resolve logistics problems. Comprehensive knowledge of supply policy and procedure requirements to function as technical authority for supply operations for the component commander. Expert knowledge in supply management to resolve problems or issues and/or the impact of emerging supply policies, techniques, etc., on supply support programs conducted in an expeditionary environment and potentially all agency supply operations. NOTE: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Extensive knowledge of laws, regulations, policies, procedures, techniques and methods of logistics and supply operations management. 2. Comprehensive knowledge of laws, policies, regulations, and precedents applicable to readiness and mobilization. Thorough knowledge of logistics management, principles, concepts, policies, and regulations. Knowledge of distribution facilities and storage management functions and techniques. Additionally, knowledge of sources, responsibilities, and means for providing assistance or advice to resolve logistics and supply problems. 3. Ability to review, analyze, and evaluate logistics and supply management programs, as well as analyze problems and to develop timely and economical solutions. Ability to review, analyze and manage contingency, mobilization planning, and war reserve programs. 4. Ability to develop, prepare, coordinate, staff and implement policies, procedures, programs, and directives, ensuring effective communication, both orally and in writing, concisely and with technical accuracy while planning and organizing work. 5. Ability to stratify resources against approved programs; to plan, present and execute budgets; to analyze budget impacts on programs; and to forecast long-term requirements. 6. Ability to establish effective working relationships with others. Ability to inspire, motivate and guide others toward goal accomplishment. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
