This position is located with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Superintendent, Northern Cheyenne Agency in Lame Deer, Montana. The incumbent will serve as the principal advisor to the Superintendent and share full responsibility in carrying out all activities within the Agency's trust programs.

TRAVEL AND RELOCATION EXPENSES WILL NOT BE AUTHORIZED. ANY RELOCATION EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH REPORTING FOR DUTY WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE SELECTED EMPLOYEE.
Duties
Provides leadership for all agency trust programs to foster the effective conservation and utilization of all Indian resources.
Manage Federal trust property adhere to applicable statutes, codes, treasury regulations, departmental and Bureau policies.
Manage the activities of trust programs to ensure compliance of all program elements responsible for disbursing Federal funds.
Review natural resource plans, inter-agency memoranda of understanding, legislation, regulations, and policies of natural resources functions to act on behalf of the BIA and Indian people.

- Incumbent is required to operate a government motor vehicle, must possess a valid driver's license, and have a safe driving record within the 4 year period immediately preceding submittal of GSA Form 3607.
- At the discretion of the Agency Superintendent, you may qualify for reimbursement of relocation expenses
in accordance with agency policy.
- Recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized for highly qualified applicants. Service Agreement will be required.

Qualifications
GS-13 Minimum Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is defined as: carrying out all activities at all phases of one or more an Agency's trust programs, such as natural resources, forestry/fire, and real estate services that include land consolidation, probates, minerals, lease compliance, and acquisition and disposals; and managing and coordinating the activities of trust programs to ensure that all program elements responsible for disbursing federal funds or managing federal trust property adhere to applicable statues, codes, treasury regulations, departmental policies, and BIA policies.
All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
Merit Promotion candidates must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the announcement closing date.
Preference in filling vacancies is given to qualified Indian candidates in accordance with the Indian Preference Act of 1934 (title 25, USC Section 472).
