About the Position: Serve as Branch Chief planning, directing, coordinating, and supervising directorate staff missions and operational functions.
Duties
Develop methods and techniques to determine resource requirements.
Review and evaluate effectiveness of performance and quality of operations results.
Develop long-range work plans and schedule to implement organization’s goals and objectives.
Plan and assign work based on priorities, requirements of assignments and capabilities of employees.
Evaluate performance of subordinate personnel.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires you to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's General Schedule Supervisory Guide. A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- This position may require you to work overtime.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes
(1) Experience interpreting and applying contracts, regulations, principles, or procedures;
(2) Experience managing funding obligation resources to ensure effective utilization;
(3) Experience evaluating and analyzing the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations; and
(4) Experience leading, directing, or assigning work of personnel.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
