About the Position: This position is located at Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Liberty, North Carolina. The incumbent provides computer program and system support services within the Operating Room section, Anesthesia Department, Surgi-Center, Department of Surgery, Department of OB/GYN, and the Department of Orthopedics.
Duties
Schedule and report module of the operating room automated data system.
Compile scheduling information and resolving scheduling related problems.
Solve problems that affect the integrity of the database system for the Operating Room.
Recommend changes in scheduling practices to balance scheduling templates on a daily basis, many of which have changed since last processed either in time, resources, or demand.
Program data to create routine and ad hoc reports for use in operational problems and a variety of local and command reports.
Serve as point of contact for the Operative Nursing Section and Operating Room automated data system.
Analyze operations to evaluate effectiveness of current software as it relates to standard operating procedures.
Consults with Operating Room staff and physicians to assess the need for system changes.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) providing computer program and system support services within a medical section such as operating room, anesthesia, or surgi-center; and 2) utilize system applications to meet a variety of management and administrative needs for surgical services such as MHS Genesis and Surgery Scheduling Procedures; and 3) programming of data to create routine and/or ad hoc reports.

Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Development, Networks, Cyber Security, Data Analytics and Computer Networking.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
