About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command U.S. Army Counterintelligence Command HQ Fort Washington MD.

Duties

Serves as an Army Technical Counterintelligence (TCI) Subject Matter Expert (SME) Assigned to the TCI School (TCIS), Army Counterintelligence (ACI) Command, Fort Meade, MD. Serves as Module Chief, Small Group Advisor, and Role Player during the conduct TCI Training. Writes, edits, updates, staffs proposed to TCIS POI, ensuring it remains relevant and up to date in accordance with Army CI and TCI doctrine.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
  • Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
  • All ACIC employees may be subject to extended temporary duty (TDY) or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
  • May be required to perform TDY of at least 30% of the time and may be subject to extended TDY.
  • Must successfully complete all required certification courses and training for the discipline,position, and grade as directed by the CG, ACIC, or otherwise established in the AR 381-14.
  • In accordance with Army Regulation 381-14, individual must have graduated the Army Technical Surveillance Countermeasures Course and have successfully achieved tenure in the TSCM Program bypassing Certification testing.
  • Must successfully complete the CI Special Agent Course, Fort Huachuca,Arizona, achieve CI Special Agent Course, Fort Huachuca, AZ.

Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data. SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR: Must be a graduate of Army Technical Surveillance Countermeasures Course and have successfully achieved tenure in the TSCM Program by passing Certification testing.**NOTE: You MUST submit a copy of your certificate with your application.
