Duties

DUTIES:
The primary purpose of the position is to perform building and/or utility maintenance and operation duties. Incumbent utilizes journeyman knowledge and skills in several trades and crafts.
Performs all preventative maintenance, operational checks, repair, layout, installation, troubleshooting, tracing, locating defects, modification on and new and existing secondary electrical systems from transformers to final connections park wide. Work consists of installing and troubleshooting meters, load centers, circuit breakers, equipment controls, lighting and power outlets, disconnects, solenoids, relays and lighting fixtures.
Installs, modifies, and repairs new and existing utility, supply, and disposal systems and equipment such as sewage, water, oil, and gas distribution systems and water closets, tubs, fire sprinkler systems, and showers, and lay out of such things as angles, arcs, and circles.
Installs repairs and calibrates analyzers for turbidity, chlorine and pH as well as the trend recorders associated with these analyzers. Troubleshoot and functionally test equipment to isolate defective components and perform repairs, adjusting and replacing parts as required. The incumbent will work using operating principles, blueprints, diagrams, technical manuals, test equipment and trade tools.
Serves as a primary equipment operator. Operates one or more types of gasoline/diesel powered wheeled or crawler-type engineering and construction equipment with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of 72,000 pounds to push, pull, move, transport, or load earth, gravel, sand, supplies, materials,
equipment and refuse.
