About the Position: Serve as a Program Manager responsible for oversight of Army Programs acquisition processes and implementation in support of Joint Counter Office (JCO) modernization plans. Monitors and provides authoritative advice impacting the modernization of the Army and modification of the acquisition process to support the objectives of the JCO Acquisition and Resourcing (A&R) Division Chief.
Duties
Present information and decision briefings on issues regarding acquisition initiatives and priorities to include Science and Technology projects.
Coordinate acquisition reviews and information exchanges with JCO as well as its external strategic partners.
Maintain quality control of all acquisition related documentation for development and processing to ensure documentation is operationally and analytically sound and meets the stated need in support of the acquisition programs.
Conduct portfolio oversight of cost, schedule, risk, political, economic, and technical issues affecting execution of high-priority programs based on the JCO Modernization Plan objectives.
Coordinate policy, guidance and directives to conduct and oversee acquisition.
Develop written reports and/or briefings to inform leadership of the acquisition enterprise of critical findings, conclusions, and observations.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting portfolio oversight of spend plans and budget execution; evaluating acquisition documentation to assess success rates; coordinating operational support; analyzing data and reports to create products for leadership. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
