You will serve as a Business Support Specialist in the Facility Management Division, Public Works Department Dahlgren of NAVAL FAC ENGINEERING CMD WASH.

Duties

You will provide management support services in the areas of program cost analysis, annual/multiyear/ long range fiscal planning, and development of annual work-plan(s). You will review data involving system parameters, schedule and cost variations. You will prepare detailed plans, budgets, and schedules for assigned programs. You will generate reports and pulls data involving system parameters, schedule and cost variations. You will support producing, analyzing and tracking Departmental metrics. You will respond to administrative and financial data calls, which may require extensive coordination with all Public Works divisions and branches.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

For the GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Creating reports and reviewing data involving system parameters, schedules and cost variations; 2) Requesting, receiving, and maintaining cognizance of approved funds; 3) Overseeing the day-to-day management and administration of the organization's budget; 4) Providing support producing, analyzing, and tracking departmental metrics; 5) Responding to administrative and financial data calls, which may require extensive coordination with all Public Works divisions and branches For the GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Creating reports and pulling data involving system parameters, schedules and cost variations; 2) Requesting, receiving, and maintaining cognizance of approved funds; 3) Assisting with the day-to-day management and administration of the organization's budget; 4) Providing support producing, analyzing, and tracking departmental metrics; 5) Responding to administrative and financial data calls, which may require extensive coordination with all Public Works divisions and branches. Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D.

OR
