You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT in the OFFICE OF THE JUDGE ADVOCATE GENERAL of RLSO SOUTHWEST SAN DIEGO CA.

Duties

You will serve as an Administrative Assistant and perform various administrative and clerical duties in support of the command mission. You will assist with the Command Budget Program by managing the supply inventory and supply procurement process for the office. You will facilitate pay, personnel, and travel transactions for the command. You will assist with the administration of command records to include procedures for the creation, maintenance, use, and disposition of official records. You will provide information to command personnel pertaining to administrative procedures and established policies.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

GS-07, Current or Former Federal employees: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-05) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following: 1) Completing administrative tasks with strong attention to detail; 2) Applying proficient written and oral communication skills to communicate effectively with stakeholders; 3) Collaborating with a variety of stakeholders to resolve issues and deliver a good work product; and 4) Utilizing automated systems to organize data. GS-07, VEOA, Military Spouse Preference, or Non-Competitive Applicants (without current or former Federal service): I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-06) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following: 1) Completing administrative tasks with strong attention to detail; 2) Applying proficient written and oral communication skills to communicate effectively with stakeholders; 3) Collaborating with a variety of stakeholders to resolve issues and deliver a good work product; and 4) Utilizing automated systems to organize data.
