This National Guard position is for a SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (CUSTOMER SUPPORT), Position Description Number D2527000 and is part of the NJJFHQ, National Guard. This position supervises the customer support service desk section. Serves as a Supervisory Information Technology (IT) Specialist (CUSTSPT) responsible for the planning and delivery of customer support services.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience, education.or training in the following: Receiving and issuing data storage media for computer operations Scheduling the use of computer time for program processing Collecting and sequentially staging input media with associated program instructions for processing Knowledge of programming language SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at 36 months experience, education, or training in the following: Knowledge of approach techniques and requirement appropriate to an assigned computer applications area Skill in planning the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment Ability to adapt to meet the needs of the assignment Ability to prepare documentation on cost/benefit studies Ability to summarize material and organize in a logical fashion

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience:At the GS-11 level, a Ph.D. or equivalent, or 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree.

Undergraduate or Graduate Education: Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
