THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a PROGRAM ANALYST (TITLE 5), Position Description Number NGT511500 and is part of the TN ARMY Army National Guard.
This vacancy is covered by Association of Civilian Technicians (ACT), Chapter 103 (Volunteer Chapter).
Duties
As a PROGRAM ANALYST, GS-0343-09 you will conduct studies of work processes and procedures. Review reports and studies to ensure that user requirements are met and appropriate rules and regulations are utilized. Assist in the development of directives and the design, development, documentation, and implementation of various reporting systems. Perform other duties as assigned.

- Irregular and overtime hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies.
- This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for a state emergency or disaster declaration. This designation will not exceed 14 calendar days per year unless otherwise approved in advance by the TAG.
Qualifications
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training in administrative, professional, investigative, technical, or other responsible work which demonstrates analytical ability and a practical and theoretical knowledge of the functions, processes, and principles of management. Knowledge of the National Guard organizational structures, functions, procedures, and techniques. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 24 months specialized experience or 1 year equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Experience in applying statistical analysis and evaluative techniques to the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems of a procedural or factual nature. Experience validating status of on hand property and equipment regarding excess property postures, turn-in procedures, equipment/supply receipt procedures, processing statement of charges, posting adjustments to property records. Experience conducting interviews and evaluations, analyzing findings and developing recommendations for corrections or improvements in an evaluated program.
