You will serve as a CRANE OPERATOR LEADER in the Weapons Department of Strategic Weapons Facility Pacific, Bangor, WA.

Duties

You will perform journeyman level crane operator and motor vehicle operator work. You will be assigned the responsibility of leader duties over a mixture of Crane Operators, Motor Vehicle Operators, Automotive Workers, and General Helpers . You will operate facility cranes in support of shipment and receipt, out-load and offload, and maintenance of TRIDENT missiles, missile components, and missile support equipment. You will lead Crane Operators, Motor Vehicle Operators, Kneel Down Transporter (KDT) Operators, and Helpers in carrying out instructions from the Division Head. You will normally operate facility cranes of various capacities, truck cranes, and all sizes of trucks and forklifts. You will move equipment, containers, missiles, and miscellaneous components with a high degree of accuracy. You will perform instructor related duties including preparing lesson plans applicable to the particular requirements for each trainee. You will instruct trainees in acquiring skills necessary for their job classification.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing
