The incumbent is responsible for planning, coordinating and directing the work of personnel in Transportation in throughout CAVHCS locations consisting of two primary campuses, Montgomery and Tuskegee, Health Care Clinic, Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) Dothan, Dothan Mental Health, Fort Rucker Wiregrass, Columbus/Fort Benning and Monroeville.

Duties

Major duties include: Responsible for supervising workers. Scheduling and approving leave. Plans, directs, and administers the maintenance program. Provides direct oversight of the grounds operations. Manages and assesses the effectiveness of all financial aspects of fleet operations. Advises on the goals of cost reduction, energy reduction and productivity. Plans and coordinates the vehicle rotation program. Prescribes performance standards for subordinates. Initiates vehicle procurement action.
