This position is located in Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, in the Administrative Division. Open to the first 101 applicants or until 04/30/2024 whichever comes first. Duties

MAJOR DUTIES: Provide accurate and reliable advice on a wide range of administrative functions as these apply to the park, either as personal advisory service to the Superintendent and Division Chiefs or by directing (or obtaining services of) specialists, technicians and clerical support positions. As a member of the park management team, plans, analyzes and monitors the formulation and development of park-wide plans, programs, procedures, operating policies, internal controls and program goals. Responsible for keeping the park's revenues and spending in balance through sound advice and supervision of the staff of the Administration/Business Office dedicated to budget and financial management on a day-to-day basis. Responsible for providing information technology, connectivity, communications (local, long distance, cellular and/or satellite telephone, facsimile) and automation advice in support of programs for the park, and for directing the work of staff assigned to provide technical support to these functions. Responsible for managing the parks' concessions and Commercial Use Authorization programs. Supervises the business management/administration staff of the park.

All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement-04/30/2024-unless otherwise stated in this vacancy announcement. Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. To qualify for this position at the GS-13 grade level, you must possess the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement: EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience MUST include: 1) Providing administrative direction to staff in accordance with established standards, regulations, and policies, as well as directing day-to-day administrative activities in one or more of the following areas: Budgeting and Accounting, Concessions Management, and/or Information Technology; 2) Planning and coordinating budget and financial plans and operations; 3) tracking expenditures and; 4) reviewing multiple fund source accounts. You must include hours per week worked.
