About the Position: Serves as Administrative Officer for the US Army Transportation Center and School (USATC&S), performing a variety of duties relating to the management of administrative and personnel services programs of the USATC&S.

Duties

Propose the approval or disapproval of requests for actions involving the commitment of funds. Operate as credit card holder for the organization. Monitor yearly performance appraisals to ensure they are competed in a timely manner. Assist with position classification matters to include other personnel issues. Collaborate with specialists in finding solutions to management problems arising out of mission changes. Assist management with internal control audits to assure compliance with security guidelines.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • The incumbent for this position must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience providing administrative/management support in areas such as assisting with managing manpower/budget, providing human resource management support, providing guidance on organizational/training requirements; and utilizing automated system such as MS Office, email, Excel, PowerPoint. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Administration or Human Resources Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Financial ManagementHuman Resources ManagementOrganizational Awareness Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the second lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
