Duties

You will interpret instructions and specifications in performing tools and parts attendant work. You will follow trade safety practices and guidelines in completing assignments. You will identify dead stock material, items with rapid turnover rate, or those with a history of being out of stock. You will determine methods of placement, arrangement, and rotation of tools and parts in consideration of shelf life, age, and code date. You will examine tools and material prior to issuance and upon return for damage or worn condition.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including rotating shifts, overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements.
  • This position requires evening and weekend work.

Qualifications

The Screen-out Element for this position is: The ability to do the work of a TOOLS AND PARTS ATTENDANT without more than normal supervision. 1) Providing quality customer support services;2) Identifying various tools and parts and inspect for any damages or defects;3) Managing inventory, stock control and record keeping;4) Interpreting instructions and specifications for tools and parts; and5) Complying with safety practices.
