You will serve as the Applied Technology Electronics Section Head in the Rapid Prototyping/Fabrication Technology Division of Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Keyport, Washington (NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA).

Duties

You will support electronic prototyping, fabrication, repair, and development and application of new technology. You will implement strategic initiatives for programming, planning, and budgeting. You will plan, establish, and achieve Division Keyport and assigned Department strategies and long-range goals. You will initiate investment projects when required for revitalization. You will utilize knowledge and skill in fabrication, prototyping, and repair of circuit boards, cables, gyros, sensors, and test sets including associated processes and methodologies. You will organize personnel and apply skills towards accomplishing assigned work on the shop floor. You will deal with unions and management to maintain an energized workforce.

Requirements

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-03 pay band (GS-9/10 grade level equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Overseeing or leading customer interfacing, budgetary planning and electronic production (e.g., fabrication, prototyping, repair of circuit boards, cables, gyros, sensors, test sets) to ensure associated processes and methodologies.
