You will serve as an Administrative Officer in the of the Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) to the SES within each Directorate (ACOM) at CNSSC FLD DET MECH PA.

Duties

You will assume the full administrative responsibility for supervising an organization thus relieving the senior staff from direct involvement in day to day administrative functions. You will manage staff actions, determine status, prioritize events, and provide comprehensive status briefs to the Executive Office. You will manage the proper arrival and departure preparation of staff assigned to the organization to maximize productivity You will serve as the central control point for all correspondence coming into and going out of the organization from cradle to grave. You will provide the organization requirements for office supplies to the centralized HQ resupply point.

Requirements

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Resume must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector utilizing an extensive knowledge and understanding of management principles, practices, methods and techniques, and skills in integrating management services with the general management of an organization. Specialized experience must include: 1) Performing, obtaining, and advising on a variety of management services such as personnel management, project and control, security, manpower, utilization, building management, budget management, and administrative internal controls; 2) Leading a team to accomplish various functions such as administrative, budget, resources, and operations functions in support of program offices; 3) Tracking, coordinating, and reporting on projects and events; 4) Experience with administrative programs including the oversight, management, and direction of purchasing, travel, and records management.
