The incumbent will serve as the IT program manager in the Network Operations Center located in Columbia, South Carolina.

Duties
If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for who supports and manages the United States Attorneys Network Operations Center. The successful candidate will be customer-focused, responsive, reliable, and detail-oriented with solid managerial, communication, and problem solving skills. Duties will include:
- Serve as a technical lead in managing the engineering, operations, and maintenance of a variety of network systems and projects which include hardware, software, account management and networking infrastructure.
- Will be the subject matter expert for expertise in infrastructure and network techniques with responsibility for evaluating, designing, implementing, and sustaining data communication operations and networking systems.
- Meet with vendor sales and technical staff and other federal agencies to address current or potential problems, to coordinate technical implementation plans and schedules and to obtain information on the latest hardware and software solutions.
- Design, deploy and manage software defined networking, zero trust networking/architecture, network function virtualization and cloud service environments.
- Perform network analysis on network traffic throughout the agency to include analyzing data communication traffic volumes, network bandwidth capacity, peak loading spikes, and the overall effect any modifications will have to internal data networks.
Qualifications
You must have Information Technology (IT)-related experience which demonstrates proficiency in each of the following competencies:

GS-14: To be eligible at the GS-14 level, you must have at least ONE full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: demonstrated experience diagnosing and resolving problems in response to customer reported incidents and researching, evaluating and providing feedback on problematic trends and patterns in customer support requirements; establishing high performance and optimized data center, network operations center and telecommunication infrastructure, facilities and services; serving as a technical expert and advisor to management in the planning, analysis, design, implementation, operation, maintenance, and/or management of the 24/7/365 mission critical data center and network/telecommunication infrastructure operations.
