About the Position: The Walla Walla District US Army Corps of Engineers is comprised of motivated and talented employees providing the very best engineering services for communities in the Pacific Northwest. The District helps manage local water resources for navigation, flood damage reduction, disaster assistance, hydroelectric power generation, and other natural and heritage areas.

Duties

Negotiate the NFFE collective bargaining agreement. Represent employees involved in diverse programs and functions supporting the operation of Lock and Dam Projects. Utilize perspectives gained from close working relationships with federal and state agencies, public and private organizations, as well as the general public. Balance employee concerns with Bonneville Power Administration, Federal Power Commission, Bureau of Reclamation, Northwest Power Pool, Fish and Wildlife/Natural Resource agencies, EPA, Native American representatives, and special interest groups. Exercise extensive background and expertise in natural resource related fields, engineering, maintenance, and operations to represent interests in negotiations. Understand how negotiations will impact morale, safety, and mission accomplishment at Lock and Dam Projects.
