The primary purpose of this position is to requisition subsistence, supplies, and subsistence, maintains stock levels, and operates automated supply systems. Performs document control work and conducts inventories.

Duties
Provides supply support for production, overhaul, repair or other operations for equipment parts and a wide variety of supply items.
Maintains property accounts and records, completing individual transactions, screening reference files, conduction data searches and distributing output files.
Performs document control work involved in the processing of supply transactions.
Provides assistance to customers, storage depots, or other organizations.
Performs general clerical support work.
Responsible doe maintaining, troubleshooting, identifying and maintaining files associated with the food management inventory computer system (CBORD).
Performs inventory control duties.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-04, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes experience which may have been gained while applying standardized supply regulations, policies, procedures, or other instructions relating to the specific functions assigned. Using automated supply databases to enter, correct, and retrieve recurring reports, and to structure and retrieve specialized reports. Resolving recurring problems for a range of standard clerical assignments, working within the structure of the local supply organization and the organizations serviced.

EDUCATION: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.

COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience as described above may be used to qualify for this position. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-04 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-05 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of supply regulations, policies, procedures, techniques, and methods
Knowledge of policies and procedures for requisitioning and stock control
Knowledge of general office administrative and clerical procedures
Knowledge of data entry and processing of supply transactions in an automated supply system
Ability to research, compile, and analyze supply information and data; receive, screen, review, verify, and maintain supply documents; and resolve discrepancies.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Ability to train co-workers on computer operations and minor maintenance tasks.
working knowledge of electronic keyboard, computer hardware, personal computer networks applications and software to resolve problems.
Knowledge of DOS and other computer operating commands.
Knowledge of inventory management regulations, policies and procedures.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
