About the Position: This position is located with the 366th Medical Group at Mountain Home Air Force Base, ID.
Duties
Oversee facility management resources and planning for space utilization.
Plan complex projects to maintain patient care building within all requirements.
Adjust facility management priorities in response to budgetary or medical facility needs.
Inspect facility and equipment to determine deficiencies and appropriate corrective action.
Evaluate use patterns and identify maintenance or restoration requirements.
Estimate scope and cost of repairs, alterations, equipment installation, or construction.
Oversee the work of contractors to evaluate and verify compliance with statements of work or other agreements.
Coordinate preventive maintenance, repair, and/or construction work while minimizing impact to healthcare delivery.
Implement systematic processes that identify and eliminate safety hazards.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
- Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
- A pre-placement medical examination is required.
- Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
- Must possess and maintain a valid stateside driver's license.
- This position may require the incumbent to work on call for emergencies during irregular work hours which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and/or varying work schedules.
- Moderate to heavy lifting up to 50 pounds may be required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the qualification requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes evaluating equipment or facility components to identify required repairs or replacement; conducting inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory standards; and coordinating contractor proposals, selection, or work assignments. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
OR
Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. with a major study in engineering, industrial arts, property management, or business administration.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
