About the Position: Sierra Army Depot is located in Herlong CA, a rural town in Northern California. Employees work a 4/10 work week, Mon-Thurs, 0630-1700 hrs. Youth Facilities and daily childcare available. The depot serves as an Army Expeditionary Logistical Support Center, (Mass transportation is available at minimal cost.)

Duties

Serve as a Facilities Specialist at Sierra Army Depot. Perform site visits of projects to determine requirements. Serve as a Contractor Officer’s Representative or technical advisor on assigned projects. Conduct site visits to verify work is being done in accordance with technical requirements, current code and construction standards, and design specifications/drawings.

• Temporary Duty Travel, TDY may be required up to 5% of the time.
• Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I Confidential Financial Disclosure Reports) upon entering the position and annually.
• Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.

Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes: Estimating work for maintenance, repair, modification and installation of facilities, Developing job plans, bill of materials, and equipment cost, Preparing bills of materials, and Performing site visits of projects to determine requirements.
