You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SECURITY SPECIALIST in the MP&A Directorate of MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII.
Duties
You will ensure all military, DoD civilian, and contractor personnel are screened for appropriate security clearances upon assignment to the installation.
You will provide security education briefings for newly cleared personnel and debriefs for all personnel leaving the installation.
You will coordinate with the Provost Marshall to conduct Physical Security Surveys for establishment or revalidation of classified work and storage areas.
You will ensure personnel adhere to established physical security policies and regulations and recommend appropriate action to correct discrepancies.
You will develop and execute the command Computer Security Program with the technical assistance of the Computer Information Systems Department (CISD).
You will formulate policy and perform oversight of the control, marking, storage, classification, transmission, destruction, printing, and reproduction of classified information.
You will direct, administer, and oversee the Classified Material Control Center.
You will work with military and civilian specialists to meet evolving security needs of the base by reviewing plans, conducting security studies, and performing site surveys.
Requirements

- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Top Secret clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing supervision and technical expertise in managing security programs to include; physical security, personnel security, information security and promoting security awareness.
