This position is part of the Haskell Indian Nations University, Bureau of Indian Education (BIE). As a Maintenance Worker you will be responsible for providing a variety of services such as carpentry, plumbing and painting, of a general nature in preventative maintenance, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, emergencies, general repairs and service calls in the daily operations and maintenance programs.

Duties

As a Maintenance Worker WG-4749-8, your typical work assignments may include the following: Perform a variety of carpentry duties. Plan, conduct, and complete entire projects from initial layout to final assembly or installation. Perform plumbing, installation, modification, preventive maintenance, and repairs on new and existing utility, supply, and disposal systems such as sewage, water, water closets, tubs, fire sprinkler systems, and showers. Qualifications

Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Federal Wage System Qualifications and will be evaluated on their ability to perform duties of the position rather than the length of experience. Eligibility will be determined by the relevance, scope and quality of all experience and training. Only experience and education obtained by the closing date of this announcement will be considered.
