The EAE's responsibilities are to ensure accountability of in-use equipment is properly maintained, equipment custodians are trained and properly conducting their duties and responsible commanders are provided feedback on the maintenance of accountability of the equipment issued to their squadrons.

Duties

Directs the equipment accountability office. Responsible to the LRS commander for all installation equipment accountability and reporting. Prepares recurring and special reports. Through the Flight Chief, LRS Commander, and Logistics Manager provides responsible officer's and the responsible officer's group and wing commanders with a written status reports. Compiles data, statistics and chart preparation. Compiles statistics from data requiring substantial analysis, interpretation, and development of new formats. Performs weapons reconciliations. LRS EAE is responsible for performing annual reconciliations of weapons such as carbines, grenade launchers, machine guns, pistols, recoilless weapons, revolvers, rifles, shotguns, etc.

Conditions of Employment Cont'd: Ability to independently, plan/organize teams to support program activities, participates as functional expert with extensive knowledge of inventory, supply, and procurement management systems Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed "Unscheduled Telework" In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions, Inventory Management Series 2010 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-01, equivalent to other pay systems. Specialized experience must include pertinent laws, statutes, regulations, policies, procedures, techniques, and methods applicable to supply, and equipment management. Knowledge of governing supply regulations, procedures, and instructions and knowledge of supply functions, operations, program requirements, and work methods. Thorough knowledge of the procedures, techniques, and practices of equipment management principals, concepts, and methodologies to include governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions and an intensive knowledge of local supply requirements to ensure supply support for production, overhaul, repair, or other operations for urgent, critical shortage, and other special items. Knowledge of a wide range of pertinent laws, regulations, policies, and precedents which impact program and related support resources. Knowledge of the major programs, mission, and functions of the organization. OR EDUCATION: Four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree. NOTE: You must submit a copy of official transcripts. OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. NOTE: You must submit a copy of official transcripts. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in­-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the NH-01 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the NH-02 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of pertinent laws, statutes, regulations, policies, procedures, techniques, and methods applicable to supply, and equipment management. 2. Knowledge of governing supply regulations, procedures, and instructions and knowledge of supply functions, operations, program requirements, and work methods. Thorough knowledge of the procedures, techniques, and practices of equipment management principals, concepts, and methodologies to include governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions and an intensive knowledge of local supply requirements to ensure supply support for production, overhaul, repair, or other operations for urgent, critical shortage, and other special items. 3. Knowledge of a wide range of pertinent laws, regulations, policies, and precedents which impact program and related support resources. Knowledge of the major programs, mission, and functions of the organization. 4. Ability to provide supply operations support pertaining to specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and parts, such as special purpose laboratory or test equipment, prototypes of technical equipment requiring unusual degrees of protection in shipment and storage, and/or items seldom handled. 5. Ability to independently, plan/organize teams to support program activities, participates as functional expert with extensive knowledge of inventory, supply, and procurement management systems. 6. Ability to apply policies, precedents, goals, objectives, and guidelines for process oversight. Ability to conduct extensive and exhaustive searches for information and to reconstruct records for complex supply transactions. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
