Duties
You will provide engineering support services in the field of construction contracts primarily between the NIWC Atlantic and private contractors.
You will ensure construction efforts stay on schedule and within budget while minimizing adverse impact to base operations.
You will support the management and administration of complex and challenging construction projects.
You will be involved in projects that may include but are not limited to new construction, renovation, demolition, environmental remediation, equipment installation, energy, or any combination of these.
You will coordinate work in detail with key personnel within the prime and subcontractor's staff and Facilities Management staff.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
NR-04: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing oversight, direction, review, or associated work as it relates to construction contracts in any of the following fields: new construction, renovation, demolition, environmental remediation, equipment installation, energy, project planning, safety, technical engineering, AND/OR construction or design changes.
