Duties
This position is located within the Department of the Interior, Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE), Office of the Director, Renewable Energy Operations (REO) in Sterling, VA.
At the full performance level (GS-13) the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Project manager for renewable energy activities during Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE), review and approval of renewable energy activities on the Outer Continental Shelf (OCS). Manages project plan components by applying project management concepts and principles. Monitors progress of the project milestones and makes adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion.
2. Interacts with BSEE personnel, stakeholders, and other government entities to develop work products. Efforts include coordinating the internal development of products by scheduling, planning, and leading effective meetings, producing briefing documents and leading briefings, development of communication and outreach plans, establishment of project schedules, and meeting scheduled deliverables.
3. Performs the full range of project management activities as COR Level II to include proper planning and management of available resources to ensure established performance expectations are met. Review program budget, monitor expenditures, and recommend adjustments.
4. Coordinates industry submittals during BSEE review and approval of proposed activities.
5. Extensive coordination and consultation with other BSEE and Department of Interior offices, Federal agencies, industry, and other interested parties.
6. Coordinates and plans with industry, conducts in-person and webinar meetings.
7. Develops and maintains effective liaisons to determine issues and concerns, ensures involvement in renewable energy planning processes, and obtains current information for planning, analyses and review.
Relocation Expenses Reimbursed: You may qualify for reimbursement of relocation expenses in accordance with agency policy.

BSEE has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for telework with supervisor approval.
Salary Range Information:
GS-13: ($117,962 - $153,354) per annum.
First time hires to the federal government typically start at the beginning salary in the range for their respective grade level.
This vacancy may be used to fill additional positions as vacancies become available.
This vacancy is also announced as BSEE-EEAA-24-JB-172(DEU) for those applicants who wish to apply and be considered under Competitive Examining procedures.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification Requirements: To qualify for this position you must meet the Specialized Experience for the series/grade to which you are applying.
Specialized Experience: To qualify for the GS-13, you must possess at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable experience not gained through Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience is defined as demonstrated experience: 1) Managing project plan components by applying project management concepts and principles. 2) Developing, implementing, and monitoring the internal development of complex projects related to natural resources and energy development. 3) Analyzing data in order to establish schedules and coordinate deadlines. 4) Developing cost estimates, monitoring expenditures within program budget and recommending adjustments; AND 5) Representing an organization at professional meetings or conferences involving internal and external stake holders.
