You will serve as a SCIENTIST in the FINANCE DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVWAR SYSTEMS COMMAND of NAVWARSYSCEN PACIFIC SAN DIEGO CA.

Duties

You will provide data analysis across all phases of NIWC Pacific programs encompassing direct, acquisition, overhead and service center funding and their associated effects on financial business operations at NIWC Pacific. You will interact with NIWC Pacific Finance Department Leadership to provide the necessary data analysis to support decision making, planning, and performance analysis utilizing multiple forms of metrics, tools, reports, and analysis. You will compile data and develop data management methodologies using analysis, build data visualization with metrics that are meaningful for business decisions, giving the insight leadership needs to set business strategies and execution plans. You will participate in discussions of policies and procedures relative to cost analysis methodology. You will use state-of-the art technologies to include but not limited to visualization, automation, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and datamining capabilities.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band ND-3 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Support decision making, planning, and performance analysis utilizing multiple forms of metrics, tools, reports, and analysis; and bring together disparate data sets and data management methodologies using scientific inquiry and analysis, build data visualization with metrics that are meaningful for business decisions. Degree: in operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
