Duties

The primary purpose of this position is to perform administrative, clerical and office automation duties related to the processing of Demand Maintenance Orders, Work requests or Project Order , and the Facility Manager Program. Operates the Work Reception Customer Service Area for the installation, tenant activities, and other authorized customers. Establishes files for each work order, retaining suspense and completed copy and any pertinent data. Receives visitors and telephone calls. Prepares routine, non-technical correspondence, reports, forms, and other material from notes, rough drafts, oral instructions, or precedent materials.

Requirements

  • Appointment to this position is subject to a background investigation to determine your suitability for Federal employment.
  • In this position the employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, including overtime, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Callback and emergency duty are occasional requirements of this position.
  • This position requires the services of a fully qualified typist.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Computer SkillsCustomer Service (Clerical/Technical)Interpersonal SkillsOral CommunicationTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-04).
