Duties

This position is located under the Asset Forfeiture and Seized Property Division (AFSPD) in Martinsburg, West Virginia. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as Program Analyst and is responsible for developing, reviewing, and evaluating the asset forfeiture initiative.

Qualifications

To qualify for 7/9, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-5/7. This is a non-bargaining unit position. Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume. Examples of specialized experience include: For the GS-07: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade GS-0343-05, which has equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Conduct data analysis and update firearms statuses to ensure compliance with program policies; AND Track projects, budgetary information, status and generate reports; AND Maintain statistical data, and spreadsheets to inform program managers. OR Completion of 1 full year of graduate level education OR Superior academic achievement. Superior Academic Achievement (S.A.A.). S.A.A. is based on (1) class standing--upper third of the graduating class, (2) grade-point average--3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, or (3) membership in a national scholastic honor society. OR A combination of graduate education and experience. This will be calculated using your résumé and unofficial transcripts or a list of courses/course hours submitted with your application. For the GS-09: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade GS-0343-07, which has equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Conduct and evaluative analytical operations to develop and improve policies and programs; AND Maintain statistical data and records for required changes and error; AND Research and extract pertinent information from various sources and databases to establish policy and procedures. OR Have a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B or J.D., if related. OR A combination of graduate education and experience. This will be calculated using your résumé and unofficial transcripts or a list of courses/course hours submitted with your application. Substitution of education in lieu of specialized experience may not be used for this grade level GS-7/9. Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP).
