About the Position: Headquarters, US Army Forces Command Fort Liberty, North Carolina. Fort Liberty is a culturally diverse area with rural and city populations, co-located at Fayetteville, NC centrally located in the beautiful state of North Carolina, which enjoys a temperate year-round climate and world-renowned colleges and universities. Fayetteville is centrally located between the beautiful beaches of North Carolina and the scenic Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains.

Duties

Serves as a Telecommunications Specialist (Spectrum/SATCOM) within Forces Command (FORSCOM) G6 TAC C4 Communications Branch. Develops amendments to Army recommended guidance which governs access and use of the electromagnetic spectrum. Reviews and approves recommendations and proposals for submission to leadership regarding fielding, testing and development of major automated information systems for FORSCOM. Provide Program Objective Memorandum (POM) and Command Activities Review Board (CARB) assistance coordinating with Policy Requirements Division and FORSCOM G-8 to support current and future funding requirements for services.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Experience evaluating, analyzing, developing, managing, or improving communications systems, procedures, and requirements with knowledge of current developments and trends in communications concepts and technology; 2) Knowledge of Army Centralized ASR System (ACAS), Joint Integrated Satellite Tool (JIST), Satellite Database Management Toolkit (SDB-MT); 3) Knowledge of spectrum supportability and satellite access request processing understanding to include coordination knowledge required with NETCOM G35, Regional Satellite Support Center, Regional Hub Node (RHN). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Telecommunications Planning, System Design, and IntegrationTelecommunications Project/Program ManagementTelecommunications Requirements Analysis Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
