As a National Bank Examiner/Bank Examiner (Asset Management), you will conduct and assist in the supervision of Asset Management activities in banks and carry out national and bank supervision objectives. Will spend majority of time performing work required in more challenging environments.

Duties
As a National Bank Examiner/Bank Examiner (Asset Management), you will
Assist in asset management examinations at complex banks, Supervisory activities may involve issues requiring investigation. Situations may be unusual and require technical analysis and judgment.
Plan, coordinate, and monitor asset management supervisory activities, including assessing risk, developing supervisory strategies, determining the scope of supervisory activities, managing teams of assisting personnel, preparing reports of activities, and developing responses to address risks.
Provide asset management leadership and training to other examiners and may instruct at formal schools. Serve as an asset management consultant to employees and managers.
Conduct or participate in discussions with management on findings and recommendations.
Prepare communications to foster positive changes within the institution. Maintain effective communications within the OCC and ensures that appropriate coordination
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of this announcement:
You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the NB-IV band level. Examples of specialized experience for this position include:
Assessing a financial institution's risk management systems used to identify, measure, monitor and control asset management risks; or
Assessing a financial institution's compliance with laws, regulations and guidance related to asset management (i.e. personal and corporate trusts, investment management, retirement and financial planning, custodial services, etc.)
The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector, or through volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
