Duties

Assist in planning, preparing, and managing annual budget requests. Research cause of discrepancies and reconcile errors with appropriate Vendor. Compare current and planned expenditures to determine over/under obligation of funds. Submit data for monthly report to Resource Management. Input, update and maintain relevant accounting and inventory data. Perform miscellaneous clerical duties.

• THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 1 Certified position designated as such in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81
• Appointment to this position is subject to a background investigation to determine your suitability for Federal employment.
• Employees assigned to a medical treatment facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations or pre-existing immunity based on occupational risk, regardless of job series.
• This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.
• A Personnel Security Investigation is required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing clerical and technical work concerned with supporting accounting, budget, and other related financial management duties such as maintaining, balancing, and reconciling billing collections for medical services received; and preparing monthly reports for finance and accounting office and/or preparing monthly inventory worksheet on purchases and revenues. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
