About the Position: The Incumbent serves as Secretary for the Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC), ACofS, G3, Contract Resource Management Office (CRMO).
This position is located at Fort Johnson, Louisiana (formerly Ft Polk). The surrounding community is comprised of the towns of Leesville, Deridder, New Llano, & Anacoco. The nearest cities are Alexandria & Lake Charles. The area is considered rural with the Kisatchie National Forest, which offers hunting and recreational activities
Duties
Use databases to enter, revise, sort or calculate and retrieve data for standard reports.
Monitor progress of suspense/taskings in order to brief the Contract Resource Management Supervisor on the progress of all taskings and status of various projects.
Greet visitors in order to identify nature of visit, and direct them to supervisor or other staff members.
Perform statistical reviewof current procurement data to support the total mission of the organization.
Serve as the record manager and files custodian for the Contract Management Office.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- This position will require business travel/TDY up to 10% of the time.
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a current valid stateside driver's license.
- This position requires a qualified typist of at least 40 words per minute

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing administrative duties such as typing, coordination, reproduction, file maintenance, office supply, office security, travel arrangements, and scheduling meetings; maintaining office calendar; and operating office equipment. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).

Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
