About the Position: This position is with US Army Installation Management Command, US Army Garrison Fort McCoy Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobility & Security Plans, Operations & Security Division Plans and Operations Branch located at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin.
Duties
Will serve as a Geographer, specializing in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) analysis for the Sustainable Range Program (SRP), the installation and Range Branch ITAM program.
Will be responsible for ensuring the data is made available in various user formats via enterprise GIS applications or other network sharing opportunities for a wide array of customers, inter and intra-agency.
Oversee the production of hard copy and digital products such as charts, maps, graphs, and tabular data to support professional briefings, factual reports, charts, and other documents for the directorate and installation.
Develops and provides SRP Military Installation Map (MIM) Updates.
Manages the Fort McCoy SRP portion of the Environmental Science Research Institute (ESRI), enterprise GIS implementation.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain State of Wisconsin Motor Vehicle Operators License.
- Must successfully complete or have completed the Inter-service Resident Range Safety Course (Intermediate), Army 101 Course (or suitable military experience), and be knowledgeable of AR-350-19, AR 385-63, TC 25-1, and TC 25-8.
