Duties
To coordinate NIST PREP and other IAAO-managed STEM Programs including oversight of
award information in the NIST grant award system, track progress of grant awards; monitor
salary, travel, and benefit cost adjustments for PREP participants and similar NIST STEM
programs; collect data and maintain program databases for NIST academic programs. Based on
experience and knowledge, suggest and implement improvements related to programmatic
processes for NIST academic programs, including PREP.

Qualifications
FOR ZA-II:
All applicants must have one year (52 weeks) of the specialized experience at the GS-7 level (ZA-I at NIST). Specialized experience is defined as experience assisting with the administration of programs offering professional experience opportunities, as well as outreach and education programs aimed at fostering opportunities for students, postdocs and early career researchers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
OR
Master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
LL.B. or J.D., if related
OR
Combination of education and experience.
FOR ZA-III:
Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level (ZA-II at NIST) in the federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience managing the administration of programs offering professional experience opportunities, developing and implementing processes, as well as outreach and education programs aimed at fostering opportunities for students, postdocs and early career researchers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done. We will credit all qualifying volunteer experience in your application.
