Duties

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Logistics Management Specialist, you will use your knowledge of and experience with Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR) to optimize business results and customer experience by: Supporting procurement, storage, sustainment, inventory accounting, and transport of Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) assets. Supporting the purchase, accountability, acquisition, inventory management, maintenance, replacement, transportation, and final disposition of assets. While improving logistical planning and execution for deployment of assets. Overseeing contracts, grants, awards or cooperative agreements with full responsibility for carrying out all required monitoring and management duties. Finalizing emergency response and logistical plans, protocols, and standard operating procedures for execution of complex and evolving logistics function.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Minimum Qualifications: You must have one year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following: 1. Participating in the coordination and oversight of the operational readiness related to the following areas: inventory management, procurements, vendors, storage facilities, and contracts to support stockpile missions. 2. Providing advice or assistance for the development of contracts. 3. Developing emergency response or logistical plans, protocols or standard operating procedures for execution of logistics functions.
