About the Position:
Serve as the Management Support Directorate's subject matter expert and focal point within the directorate for providing management services and advice, and for identifying/resolving issues/problem of a procedural and technical nature in supply management, parking management, and property book management.
Duties
Conduct a 100% annual reconciliation of Government property with primary hand receipt holders.
Provide guidance to primary hand receipt holders to resolve discrepancies discovered during inventories.
Resolve a variety of problems related to supply management, parking management, and property book management.
Conduct analysis of issues regarding supply management functions, work processes, methods, procedures.
Advise senior leaders on the Command Supply Discipline Program, automated supply accountability systems and organizational supply management.
Oversee the parking program for the organization.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- A pre-employment physical is required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes maintain a property accountability system such as the Global Combat Support System - Army (GCSS-A); prepare reports of survey to account for lost, damaged, or destroyed property; conduct root cause analysis to identify issues with property management; and carry out record management duties such as: indexing, identifying, and storing records. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02/GS-11).

*Demo pay band position for NH-3: This is a DOD Demonstration Project position. Under the Defense Authorization Act, personnel management demonstration programs are operating in numerous Army activities and various other organizations supported by Army civilian personnel centers. Under the streamlined personnel operations for the demonstration projects, the familiar 15 General Schedule grade structure is replaced. with broad pay bands that typically encompass a range of grades. For example, acquisition jobs in level NH-III of broad banding encompass the traditional GS-12 through GS-13 grades. Other initiatives under the demonstration projects include simplified job classification, streamlined hiring processes, and expanded developmental opportunities.
