About the Position: This position is located in the Directorate of Human Resources, Military Personnel Division, Fort Liberty, North Carolina.

Duties

Analyze system programs and problems associated with supply systems for the Directorate of Human Resources (DHR) to determine funding requirements for the supply programs. Participate in planning and determining current and future supply requirements to meet customer needs for items of low and medium monetary value. Plan and determine distribution and positioning of supplies based on funding and staffing requirements among DHR Headquarters and Divisions. Determine work methods, techniques and local procedures for procurement, receipt, custody, care and/or distribution of material. Review physical inventory programs and assist in developing plans to control inventory.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes reviewing and analyzing information from automated supply systems to include system change requests, determining rejected transaction causes, noncompliance incidents, and/or system user problems; performing inventory reconciliation and adjustments; and determining storage layouts including equipment requirements to ensure storage space utilization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Supply Management, Logistics Management or Business Administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Forecasting and Demand PlanningInventory ManagementManages ResourcesSourcingSupply Planning Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the second lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
