Installs, repairs, overhauls, and regularly inspects bowling facility electrical, mechanical, and computerized equipment to include automatic pinsetter, automatic ball returns, speed cradle stops, tele score units, automatic ball cleaners, and hole borers.

Duties

Ability to install, repair, and regularly inspect bowling facility electrical, mechanical, and computerized equipment to include automatic pinsetter, automatic ball returns, speed cradle stops, tele score units, automatic ball cleaners, and hole borers preferred. Disassembles and replaces or repairs mechanical and electrical components or parts using soldering irons, wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, and other hand tools. Cleans and lubricates machines. Measures and regulate sweep of rake on automatic pinsetters using hand tools and gauges is preferred. Running automatic pinsetter through complete cycle and inspection for pinsetting accuracy preferred. Maintains required records and reports; initiates requests for spare parts, supplies, hand equipment; and performs general housekeeping tasks to ensure proper standard of appearance, cleanliness, and safety of assigned spaces. Prefers incumbent establishes regularly schedule maintenance programs to include cleaning bowling machine, ball cleaning machine, lane machine, pin cleaning, and rotation equipment. Performance of other mechanical and electrical work to bowling facility preferred. Ability to drill and repair bowling balls preferred. Performs other related duties as assigned. Completes work assignments without direction. Incumbent selects tools, decides on the method and techniques to use, and carries out assignments independently. Obtains standard parts by looking-up replacement information in parts manual. Supervisor checks work to see it is completed in a timely manner and equipment is operating properly.

Requirements

  • Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion of background investigation. Background investigations are conducted using fingerprint identification and completion of background inquiry forms.
  • Must successfully pass the E-verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.
  • You must go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form I-9.
  • May be required to pass pre-employment examinations.
  • Must provide proof of U.S. Citizenship or U.S. National.
  • A valid State driver's license is required to operate motor vehicles.
  • Must have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Knowledge of mechanical and electrical/electronic principles and operating characteristics of bowling equipment preferred. Knowledge of parts, components, and assemblies of bowling equipment preferred. Ability to know how these parts are installed, and work together preferred. Ability to locate malfunctions through visual, operational, audio, and standard test equipment checks preferred. Ability to read and understand schematics, wiring diagrams, block diagrams, and manufacturer's service manuals. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience.
