About the Position: Red River Army Depot (RRAD) is located in northeast Texas, 19 miles west of Texarkana and approximately 170 miles northeast of Dallas. Duties

Collect actual costs in comparison with projected costs to report variances. Prepare detailed work schedules for development of technical publications. Provide technical advice on design, redesign, specifications, test parameters, etc. Advise of current and projected program status, potential problems, and recommended solutions. Conduct on-site analysis of available equipment to verify conformance with maintenance requirements. Determine facility requirements to accommodate equipment and test facilities for new maintenance programs. Develop maintenance concepts, including forecasting usage rates, and establishing initial repair and replacement factors.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• May be required to wear protective equipment (PPE).
• Lift moderately heavy equipment or items up to 50lbs.
• Obtain and maintain a Personnel Background Investigation (NACI).
• You may be expected to travel (TDY) in this position up to 25% of the time for business purposes.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance for access to Depot Production Computer System.
• This position requires pre-employment Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450 and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
• This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
• Temporary promotion may be made or extended up to a maximum of five years and can be made permanent without further competition.
• Temporary appointment may be extended in one year increments up to a maximum of three years but cannot be made permanent.
• Time Limited Detail NTE may be made or extended at management discretion.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Facilities Management or Industrial Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12.
