Duties

Performs routine duties of servicing banquets either by providing for set menu banquets or taking individual orders. Involved in setting up and breaking down banquet settings and replenishing beverages. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• A one year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Medical Examination is required.
• Must be willing to accept a varying or rotating shift to include nights, weekends and holidays.
• The dual compensation guidelines DO NOT apply to this position. All GS and NAF employees whether fulltime or part time are eligible to apply for this position.
• Must meet the state/local age requirement (18yrs) for the serving of alcoholic beverages.
• This position is eligible to receive gratuities (tips) based on the type of event(s) and performance.

Qualifications

No prior training or work experience required. Applicants must be able to follow simple oral and/or written instructions. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Ability to follow simple oral and written instruction and an understanding of sanitary food and beverage handling techniques and an understanding of food preparation methods of food items. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the following competencies: knowledge, skills, abilities, additional screening criteria and other characteristics.
