Duties

Serves as the senior subject matter expert and instructor/writer in numerous functional areas for the Blue Grass Army Depot Law Enforcement and Security Division. Responsible for providing the necessary support and maintains current training courses for all uniformed security personnel at Blue Grass Army Depot. Serve as the course manager for the Army Civilian Police and Security Guard initial certification and refresher training. Develops courses of instruction to resolve subject matter problems resulting from technological changes for the Law Enforcement and Security Division.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. Specialized Experience GS-11: One year specialized experience which includes: 1) instructing on law enforcement and security procedures for an adult educational program; 2) developing security course materials such as lesson plans and testing materials; and 3) analyzing statistical training data to provide course recommendations to senior leadership. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Education, Law Enforcement, or Security. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.
