This position in located in the Management Support Service under the direct supervision of the Chief, Veteran Experience Officer. The Connected Health Coordinator services as facility champion for the Connected Health, leads facility teams to support existing and future Veteran communication initiatives, coordinates local implementation, training, communications, outreach, and support efforts, and evaluates and reports on Connected Health actions and activities.
Duties
Major Duties
*Leads the facility's efforts as an administrative liaison to integrate current and future Connected Health Modalities with healthcare providers and patients and serve as liaison and administrator to VISN and the National Team.
*Responsible for establishing and managing communication plans that identify target audiences including appropriate messages, activities and resources.
*Formulate a marketing strategy from research, reports, products, and organizational data.
*Analyze participation trends, customer markets, needs of the consumer.
*Represent the VAMC/HCS at forums, conferences, and meetings.
*Deliver presentations to al levels of the VAMC/HCS, service organizations, veterans, family members and caregivers.
*Analyze functional clinical and business process changes or impact to clinical guidelines in terms of policies, procedures, and user behaviors.
*Manage multiple projects by planning and organizing activities.
*Identify problems and apply analytical techniques for the purpose of resolving issues.
*Offer virtual care tools support to Veterans, their family members, caregivers and VA Staff.
*Work with the employee education staff to coordinate personnel and resources to develop educational and training programs/classes with the intent of increasing adoption of the various Connected Health modalities.
*Establish, develop, and implement local Connected Health-related goals and strategies to meet goals, identify responsible parties.
*All other duties assigned by Leadership.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 04/25/2024.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-11 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-09. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal employees applying for reinstatement as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment.
You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-09 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: The work requires development and presentation of the MHV program. Incumbent presents informational material to achieve understanding in customers with varying levels of understanding and differing perspectives. Analyzes efficiency of program and makes improvements. Assignments involve producing multi-media materials that effectively develop and maintain a positive outlook on the organization by customers. defining the target groups, analyzing the information required and the most appropriate format and means of dissemination. Decisions regarding what needs to be done depend upon analysis of the project, its purpose, the most appropriate groups to communicate with, their characteristics, the most effective communication methods and techniques, and ways of evaluating the impact of disseminated information. Projects require the application of standard communication techniques requiring the solution of problems or resolution of issues similar to those previously encountered with slight modification or strategies to accommodate new aspects of an issue. Keeps abreast of the latest information on advertising and marketing by reading literature and attending workshops. Ability to analyze a variety of research reports, studies, fact sheets, and other documents , skill in organizing and communicating ideas and thoughts effectively through written correspondence and oral presentation. Skill in audio-visual techniques to assist in preparation of radio, television, slide show, speech materials, or other methods of communication.
