You will serve in an Interdisciplinary position in the Environmental Production Support Division, Public Works Department, Environmental Division of NAVFAC NORTHWEST. This is an interdisciplinary position and will be filled as a Community Planner (0020), Natural Resource Specialist (0401), Environmental Engineer (0819), or Physical Scientist (1301). Salary Range: GS-11: $81,242 to $105,612 GS-12: $97,376 to $126,585

Duties

You will prepare and review special environmental studies to assess the environmental impact of military operations, programs, exercises, construction projects, etc. You will provide environmental planning and permitting services to supported activities regarding National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and environmental compliance. You will review planning documents to identify environmental requirements, potential environmental problems, and additional environmental studies and documentation requirements. You will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on A/E contracts to ensure preparation of technically adequate, timely and cost-effective products.

Qualifications

Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
