Duties

You will approve purchases using a commercial purchase card to secure equipment, supplies, and services. You will enter data into a database to produce purchasing reports. You will discuss documentation discrepancies to resolve purchasing issues. You will confirm necessary information needed to support or complete purchase requests is gathered. You will advise requestors of available supplies or services, sources, and prices to reduce cost expenditures and expedite orders. You will Gather data used to prepare documents, reports, logs, spreadsheets, instructions, or other similar correspondence.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Using purchasing regulations, policies, procedures and business practices to purchase a variety of commercial and specialized supplies and services; 2) Ensuring post-award procedures are met by monitoring the delivery of supplies or services and recommending solutions to problems such as delays or damage in shipment, poor quality or workmanship, etc.; 3) Maintaining records for accountability of procured supplies, equipment and services and; 4) Preparing and submitting purchase orders.
