You will serve as an PLANNER AND ESTIMATOR (A/C SHEET METAL MECHANIC), in the MRO PRODUCTION DEPT, PRODUCTION LINES DIV FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.

Duties

You will develop, implement and coordinate aircraft sheet metal repair workload plans, program schedules and configuration control of the aircraft reworked, repaired, modified or converted. You will review established procedures and recommends improved methods to reduce aircraft rework costs and out of service time. You will explain the more technical aspects of the work and may instruct, demonstrate or help with especially difficult or unusual tasks. You will review timeliness and status of work being accomplished to balance workloads and resources among work units and meet established deadlines. You will observe work in progress to assure on time completion and verifies the quality going into the product and inspects work to ensure that standards for quality and quantity are met. You will prepare command correspondence, production and status reports for higher management and other commands and activities.

Qualifications

The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO LEAD OR SUPERVISE I have the ability to independently perform the most difficult and complex tasks as an expert or have been consulted by other employees in difficult situations performing duties including: Have depot level experience working with MV22 Aircraft Planned Maintenace Interval Programs (PMI) MV22. CH53, C130 ISR Depot level repairs. Extensive knowledge in Leading and evaluating all ISR aircraft and understand PMI specifications and instructions. Works at offsite stations on MV22, CH53, C130 and other TMS when required as a structural sheet metal evaluator. Extensive understanding of the sheet metal trade and all tools/equipment required to perform such functions. I am considered an expert and work with a high degree of independence. I have the ability to perform the full range of tasks on my own initiative including: Have depot level experience working with MV22 Aircraft Planned Maintenace Interval Programs (PMI) MV22. CH53, C130 ISR Depot level repairs. Have knowledge in Leading and evaluating all ISR aircraft and understand PMI specifications and instructions. Prepared to work at offsite stations on MV22, CH53, C130 and other TMS when required as a structural sheet metal evaluator. Extensive understanding of the sheet metal trade and all tools/equipment required to perform such functions. I work on my own initiative under general observation or supervision subject to occasional inspection. I have the ability to perform common tasks under general observation or supervision including: Have depot level experience working with MV22 Aircraft Planned Maintenace Interval Programs (PMI) MV22. CH53, C130 ISR Depot level repairs. Knowledgeable in evaluating ISR aircraft and understand PMI specifications and instructions. Can work at offsite stations on MV22, CH53, C130 and other TMS when required as a structural sheet metal evaluator. Have an understanding of the sheet metal trade and all tools/equipment required to perform such functions. I work under the supervision of a higher level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. I have the ability to perform simple tasks or I have received training on this type of work. I do not have on-the-job training or the abilities described above.
